Martín Misenta is a Buenos Aires-based music producer, recording and mixing engineer, and AI assisted animation expert, with a distinct focus on the independent and alternative music scenes.
He is also the creator of Retrofutura, a successful, AI assisted cinematic channel dedicated to retrofuturism and surrealism, where every video is scored with his own original music. What began as an outlet for that music has grown into a central part of his creative work today.
Drawing on over 15 years of international experience across Argentina, Brazil, the Czech Republic, and Greece, he excels at guiding artists through the entire creative process, crafting unique sonic identities that often merge analog warmth with digital precision.
Currently operating freelance, Martín offers bespoke production, mixing, and comprehensive studio design services, recently completing a successful production residency at Landmine Studio in Crete and overseeing a full turnkey studio build consultancy in Argentina.
Misenta's journey is marked by a deep immersion in diverse musical environments and a commitment to authentic sound creation. His career gained early momentum in the vibrant Buenos Aires scene at Supergaucho Records, where he witnessed firsthand collaborations involving luminaries like Chris Allison and Gustavo Cerati. This foundation led him to co-found the analog-focused Estudio Tohosound, producing award-winning records (Pepsi Music, Gardel Awards) before expanding his horizons internationally. Co-founding Ouié Tohosound Brazil brought collaborations with renowned producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes), further honing his skills before key technical and production roles at The Valvestate Studio (Brazil) and Kimono Estudio (Argentina).
What truly sets Martín apart is his rare dual expertise: a profound artistic sensibility for music production coupled with the technical mastery required for acoustic and technical studio design. This holistic understanding allows him not only to shape an artist's sound but also to conceptualize and build the ideal physical environment for its capture and refinement.
